Overview
This 2D animated film follows Kleaf, a lonely wood fairy, and Flumette, a flame spirit. Their emotional connection transcends physical boundaries, culminating in a transformative rebirth. I co-produced and co-realized this film which was nominated for the 2024 CUNY Film Festival and showcases my storytelling and animation skills.

The Challenge
The primary challenge was to portray deep emotional themes using 2D animation techniques while adhering to a tight production schedule and limited resources.
The Solution
I co-produced and animated the film, incorporating a blend of hand-drawn and digital animation styles. Procreate Dreams and After Effects were utilized to enhance visual storytelling and emotional depth. The film received strong recognition on the festival circuit, becoming a finalist at the 2024 CUNY Film Festival and an official selection at the 2024 BMCC Film Festival. It was later screened at the Rarebit Film Festival 2025 and featured on CUNY TV Presents: BMCC Film Festival during its March 2025 broadcast showcase. These selections highlighted the project’s emotional storytelling, visual direction, and the ability of animation to communicate themes of friendship, loss, and rebirth to a wider audience.
